In his 60 years of experience, Fred successfully owned and operated 14 independent transmission shops and became an expert in his field. Fred shared his knowledge and expertise by teaching courses such as Transmission Theory, the Mechanical Repair of Transmissions, and Hydraulic Circuitry. The courses were so popular that there was a two-year waiting list to attend them.
Fred also operated a parts company called "Transgear" and an export company called "Gears and Parts for Export Ltd." that shipped dyno-tested transmissions to South America. Jeremy Kent worked alongside his dad for over 25 years and now continues his legacy by operating Car-Life with the same quality workmanship, honesty, and professional service to the community that his father did.
